Claymore is a very interesting and slower manga/anime that revolves around a claymore (half-human, half-demon thing) named Clare and her human companion, Roki. Together they venture all over as Clare must in order to complete missions. Eventually Roki is taken, and Clare must fight for revenge. The story is rather slow at times, but it offers an interesting perspective of humanity and the times that bind us. Check it out if you're into that kind of thing.
