ブルーミントン

先週末はとてもたのしかったです。土曜日は私のともたちのたんじょうびでした。そして、インディアナのブルーミントンにパーティをしにいっしょにいきました。まい日先週末、パーティがありました。ブルーミントンはとてもにぎやかです。にちようび、ノートロダムにかえりました。わたしたちはつかれきります(tired)。

とうきょうのファッションウィーク

So let's talk fashion. As well all know, Japan fashion week was just a short two months ago, so let's discuss what we saw. As always, Japanese couture never disappoints. There was many experimental styles this year ranging from sinister, faux-animal skin patterns to over-the-top clothing caricatures. Below I put some of my favorite designers of the year. Looks like blue is going to be really big this year.

こにちは、せんしゅうまつにはよかったでした。きんよう日私のかそくのともだちはTippicanoeManorでけっこんしき(wedding)がありました。そして、私と私のともだちはノートロダムのだいがくのパーテイーにいきました。どよう日に私はとしょかんでフランスごと中国ごをごじかんぐらいべんきょうしました。日よう日ごごい私はちじごろにおきました。それから、べんきょうしました。

Asian Allureとインディアナポリス

先週はとてもいそがしがったです。日本のクルブとAsian Allureをして、インディアナポリスにひょうしょうしきをしにいきました。きんようび、AsianAllureでショートコントをして、とてもおもしるかったです。

 そして、りょうしんとうちにかえりました。どようびのごぜん、インディアナポリスにいきました。ひょうしょうしきにたくさん学生とりゅうしんがいました。そこにいっしょにたべまして、ざつだんしました。ひょうしょうしきはとてもよかったです。

アニメ：鋼の錬金術師 (Lit. Alchemist of Steel)
Fullmetal Alchemist (English title) is a story that revolves around two brothers and their adventure in search of the philosopher's stone which supposedly is powerful enough to undo the consequences of their past sins. It is a fairly complex and interesting anime/manga that incorporates both familiar elements of alchemy, the seven deadly sins, and religion. I highly recommend both the original anime and the Brotherhood arc.

ハロウィーン

ハロウィーン！私はハロウィーンすきです！いつもパーティがたくさんあります。せんしゅう、私のともだちはノートロダムにかえました。デイヴィッドです。インディアナのエルカトデイヴィッドさんのうちがあります。金曜日、たくさんパーティにいきました。そして、私のりょうでテレビをみました。土曜日、私たちはパーティにいきたいでした。でも、たくさんパーティがありませんでした。それから、たくさんテレビをみました。先週はひまで、とてもたのしかったです。

アニメ：クレイモア
Claymore is a very interesting and slower manga/anime that revolves around a claymore (half-human, half-demon thing) named Clare and her human companion, Roki. Together they venture all over as Clare must in order to complete missions. Eventually Roki is taken, and Clare must fight for revenge. The story is rather slow at times, but it offers an interesting perspective of humanity and the times that bind us. Check it out if you're into that kind of thing.

マイアミとあき(Fall)の休み

わたしはマイアミにいます！
こにちはからマイアミ！こんしゅうはいいです。にちよびにわたしはRainをみましたそしてにほんのレストランにいきました。Rain はゆうめなBeatlesのcoverbandです。すしをたべました。まいにちこんしゅうわたしはたいようをあびます。こんしゅうのしゅうまつパーテイにいきます。わたしのともだちはマイアミのがくせいです。そして、土曜日はともだちといっしょにマイアミのフットボールのゲームをみます。ちしにのります！

アニメ：ワンピース
One Piece. It's magical. It is the story of a young pirate named Luffy who travels the globe to become the king of the pirates with the help of his unique friends. The story is engaging and complex with plenty of creativity and excitement to keep every reader always reading. You must make this a part of your life.

うちのパーティ

先週末、うちでパーティをして、パーティはとてもたのしかったです。たくさんわたしのともだちとクラスメイトはかえました。おんがくをきいて、ゲームをして、ざつだんしました。そして、すしをたべました。たのしいパーティで、わたしはうれしいです。








アニメ：攻殻機動隊
ゴーストインザシェルはとてもゆうめいなアニメです。This was one of the first アニメ films to become widely popular in アメリカ. It combines a unique style of Japanese style animation and Western animation that became wildly popular due to its unique themes of the soul and life itself. It also utilizes many common sci-fi themes of robotics and ultra-futuristic societies. I hope everyone gets a chance to really sit down and take in this master piece.

ダイーグロ(Day Glow)

先週末、とてもたのしかったです。私とともたちはシカゴにコンサートにみにいきました。金曜日、私たちのじゅぎょうのあとノートロダムかられっしゃでいきました。３じかんぐらいいきました。れっしゃ(train)に人がたくさんいました。そのばん、コングレスのシアダーにいって、ねっきょ(crazy)のパーティをしました。パーティはとてもたのしかったです。

 コンサトのあと、小さいホテルにかえました。土曜日、私たちはシカゴのとおりのフェアにいきました。そこにはうりてがたくさんいました。そのあと、ノートロダムにかえました。

アニメ：ブリーチ

This is the story of Kurosaki Ichigo, a human turned into grim reaper that must battle evil forces in the afterlife in order to protect his friends and the world of the living. It is a very fanciful and creative anime/manga with plenty of fans who will more than willing describe the complex world of magic and living swords that this anime takes place in. Overall, I highly recommend it. There's plenty of action and very exciting twists for all you Shonen lovers out there.

せんしゅう

まいにちせんしゅうばんぎょしました。まいにちじゅぎょうがありました。せんしゅうきにようびぼくはパーテイにいきました。ともたちのりゆでありました。せんしゅうどようびぼくはフットボールゲームをみました。そして、もういちどぼくはパーテイにいきました。パーテイすきです。せんしゅうにちようびぼくはしゅくだいをしました。

Tenchi Muyo! or 天地無用!
Okay, so I don't really remember a whole lot about this show, and I tried rewatching it over the summer, but I failed a little. It's a really long series, but from what I remember it was extremely creative, funny, and a little irreverent. It's the story of boy living in the rural areas of Japan (later in Tokyo) who comes in contact with a ton of female aliens who all seem to fall madly in love with him. It sounds lame, but it's worth it; I swear.

So I'm going to keep doing throw-backs for a while to pay homage to all those ancient animes that deserve a second look after all these years. 


新機動戦記ガンダムW or Mobile Suit Gundam Wing

I promise you that you will not be disappointed when watching this series. The program traces the activities of Hero and his other spy like alliances against the United Earth Sphere Alliance who has taken over the futuristic colonies of humans that have left Earth for a life in space. The beauty of the show is in the character development and sensual relationship between Heero Yuy and Relena Peacecraft. The series has awesome space battles with intense and gripping action that is sure to stay with you. It has by far been one of the best done gundam programs. I have yet to see one that is better.

What am I watching that you should be watching?
Well, the list goes on and on, so over time we'll address all of my past loves and current flings.
First, I most pay homage to my first animated love: 
Sailor Moon or 美少女戦士セーラームーン

Sailor Moon was an anime about a teenage girl and her friends that could transform into pretty sailor scouts to defeat evil while learning about life, love, and the future on their journey. It was targeted primarily towards young girls, but I absolutely fell in love with it. The cinematic and stylized transformations and attacks of all the characters were original and beautiful, and it has stuck with me to this very day.  Although it ran from 1992 to 1997, and I was only 6 when I started watching, I still can't shake the feeling that it heavily shaped my views of love, beauty, and grace. This is undoubtedly one of my favorite things in existance, so I hope someone can back me up on that.

This is Bach no Senritsu o Yoru ni Kiita Sei Desu (Because of listening to Bach melodies at night) by Sakanaction. This is Sakanaction's newest single from their to-be-announced album. The music video is crazy and their music is awesome. Seriously dynamic with a really experimental '80s synthesized rock feel to it. Love it.

There probably won't be anything original or amazing about this blog, but I hope I can break some ground for myself in my quest for total acquisition of the Japanese language. 


You can look forward to my own opinions and critiques of Japanese fashion, music, and some select anime, all from an American perspective. I truly love Japanese culture, and hopefully I can bring some of that love to you, my readers.
